Bgwah/Meeker have ten in the second count, not eleven, although they correctly have thirteen in the final count.

The JCP really came out swinging though, so it might tighten up later.

Now I'm not a media source, but I think we can pretty safely project that PiT, realisticidealist and HappyWarrior will safely win their respective seats, at this point.

Terribly surprising, huh? Smiley

The JCP tends to disappear until election day, and then they vote in droves.

I hope my fellow Atlasian's grant me a moment of weakness while I fall into a little bit of a partisan statement here.

What in the world are Bgwah and Meeker getting votes for? What in heaven's name have they done? Bgwah is a respectable guy but I haven't seen anything spectacular done under his name, and Meeker is a habitually late to legislation and freely admits to being lazy and inactive. Why do these people deserve votes?

This is the problem with Atlasia. People who don't do a damn thing get elected by people in a party who don't do a damn thing until election day.

Even then they don't show up unless there's something worth voting in.

Again, the candidate you voted for has missed numerous votes and rarely posts unless it's absolutely necessary. If you're concerned about inactivity then voting for Andrew was not the right move.

In addition, Bgwah and I lead the charge to create the new Constitutional Convention (and revived it several times when it was left for dead). Andrew, while a great guy and smart guy, has accomplished virtually nothing recently.

At least the Northeast and Midwest are providing for suspense, something that isn't all that common with regional seats.

Well as long as MasterJedi and Smid win, the RPP will the first party I can remember to hold half the senate seats.  Add in Al's open one and we may be looking at 6 if you can believe it Smiley

The CUP held 5 seats some time in 2005. And they folded a few months later.

Knowing the Midwest, it will either be GMantis or TCash. I'll be very surprised if Jedi can win it.

Northeast I don't know enough about to say, though I'd guess Eraserhead has the advantage now (though I don't know if he's accepted his write-ins yet).

Currently the count (3rd round count, too!) is at 3-3-3, leading to a 3-candidate fptp runoff according to CESRA. Now that would be a historical Atlasian first.

Of course, it's contingent on the votes for Jedi being counted at all.

If so, then it might be best for the future of the party that we don't win control of the Senate, given the fate of those parties. Tongue

True, parties with the control of Senate collapse quickly after that.
