ARLEN SPECTER IS SCUM

Original article:

Nate Silver hit the nail on the head in this article.

I wonder how he'll vote in 2011 if he gets reelected, probably will just be as much of an asshole as possible.

Toomey better capitalize on this in the campaign.

I'm not too worried, though. Smiley

We agree on something.  Wonder if Obama and Biden will fly up here to save his ass against Sestak like Bush and Santorum did against Toomey?  It would be too funny.

New PA numbers from Rasmussen coming out at 5 pm ...

My prediction:

Toomey takes lead.  Sestak does better in primary against Specter, but still trails.  I hope only the latter is true.  Voters basically handed Specter their verdict and Toomey will lead him by 2-3 with both in the 40s.  Sestak and Toomey still have room to improve both in the 30s and could go either way.

Today, only the primary numbers will be released. Don't know if they did the GE as well, if they did, it's probably out tomorrow ...

I like Specter, but since he pulled the switch purely for political purposes, I'd be tickled to death if he loses the Democratic primary. With all of that said, I don't see it happening. The Democratic machine is behind Specter, and he'll pull it out unless there is a huge shocker.

I'd like to see Specter lose so bad. Truly lacking in moral fiber. Disgusting.

I hope he wins the primary. It's better Toomey.

Daily KOS says:

Pennsylvania Senate--Toomey 40, Specter 45
Pennsylvania Primary--Specter 48, Sestak 33
Pennsylvania Senate--Toomey 41, Sestak 42

VERY different from the Rassy poll

Kos uses hard weights which might not be good for off-year elections.

I'm starting to consider supporting Sestak.  I saw a town hall thing on C-SPAN, and he really impressed me.  How is he in terms of trade, guns and foreign policy?

Im not entirely sure, and Sestak's website doesnt really say much on those issues, but on ontheissues.com it cites for

Free Trade: vote in favor of free trade with Peru in and yes on assisting workers who lost their jobs because of globalization.

On Foreign Policy came: Keep sanctions against Syria until WMDs are dismantled. Condemns Russia for provocative statements to Georgia

Nothing for gun control

I'm thinking he's for gun control considering he's an urban area Democrat.  Pro-NRA Dems are rare, but not impossible, in major metropolitan areas.

Again, I think Sestak is much better in a General against Toomey as well.  The upstate is fed up with Specter's crap and the Philly area seems lukewarm at best.  His days are numbered in politics and everyone knows he's out for himself (D/R/I/Whatever is convenient-Specter).
