Vitter: No. At one point I thought he would eventually run for President.  I thought he would 100% be Rudy's VP pick, but then the whole prostitute thing happened.

Jindal: No. If he runs for re-election in 2011, he definitely won't run for President in '12.

Daniels: Yes.

Pence: Yes.

Lott: No. Too old.

Barbour: Yes.

Wicker: Yes.

I like every one on that list politically.  I think Vitter was wrong to see a hooker but from what I have read he has really turned his life around since then.  No one is perfect to be sure.  Still there is no way he could ever win.

Jindal is amazing.  I cannot get over how intelligently he speaks and how knowledgeable he is about the issues.  Very conservative guy which is what we need.  Pence too.  He really is impressive but in order to be a serious presidential candidate he needs to get off his duff and start sticking it to Obama.  Show youre a true conservative and don't try to beat Obama at the "who can be nicer" game.

Haley Barbour is a wonderful governor and he did a super job with his state and the hurricane unlike the Democrat governor in Louisian back then.  I forget her name but she and the New Orleans mayor (nagin?  nagus?)  were an embarassment even to Democrats.

You know these lists are wonderful but don't rule out people who have been out of politics for a while because sometimes they just need time away to rest and get their bearings.  Kirk Fordyce is a brilliant conservative and should be considered.  I think there is a Mississippi Congressman named Pickering who is great also.

Ex-politicians, if they were still serving in 2006, still make my list (it may not seem like so long ago now, but by 2012, it will have been six years).  Though you're obviously free to mention anybody else, and I thank you for doing so.

(Although apparently, Gov. Fordice died in 2004, so I would doubt he'd be making a run in 2012...even if he were alive, he'd be rapidly pushing 80).
