McCain would crush Kerry. He is a much better candidate, and much more appealing to moderates.

Here's a good one:

Kucinuch should have been way too liberal to win the election, had he faced a moderate republican or a less fanatic conservative. However Bachmann is not only ultra-conservative, she makes Palin look like Einstein, does not listen to or make any sensible arguments, and cannot in any way attract anyone but fanatic right-wingers. She would be crushed. Only reason she does not loose Mondale style, is because she wins a lot of voters on gun regulation issues.

Two other controversial candidates, Jared Polis vs David Vitter.

Hey no fair Hamilton, you're suppose to post a map to mine first Tongue

Anyway, after some reserch about Nunes, I figured this is what a map would look like.

Still want to know what a Polis vs Vitter map would look like.

A very difficult one, as the social conservatives would have abstained or gone to a third candidate. If there isn't a third candidate, I suppose only the Western conservatives stay partially loyal to the official candidate of the party. She is only able to grasp the liberals from the North-East and the North-West.
So, a very weird map, with 2 strange coalitions :

What about Charlie Crist (R - FL) vs Ted Strickland (D - OH) ?

Bobby Jindal versus Al Franken

Crushing 363-175 Jindal win.  Franken would be simply destroyed.

O'Malley 295 - Perry 243
I've done it, as usual, state by state, without intending to make one win, but maybe the margin is a bit high for O'Malley... Wink

What do you think of

Bredesen obviously would do well in the south, while Rell would help the Republicans attempt to conquer the Northeast.

Closest States: South Dakota, Illinois, Deleware

How about Marsha Blackburn vs. Barney Frank?

Corker 290 evs
Dodd 248 evs

This would be a battle decided purely on who could reach out to the moderates. Since he isn't running exclusively in Tennessee, Corker would moderate his views to become more electable. I think Corker, no longer having the pressure to be overtly conservative to win, would be able to moderate easier than Dodd.

Narrow Costa victory, as he's more conservative Democrats, more votes for thir party

Notheless liberal core would support him anyway over Cantor

Nelson 478 - Crapo 60

Even Texas would be lost for the GOP, I think.
