A lot of poverty and corruption, but they have a tons of culture and don't cause too much trouble. Overall, FC.

Once they unload all their poor people here and have them make money and send it back home their economy will boom.

But seriously, they are working hard to make life better for their people. I think there will be progress over the next decade or two and Mexico will become a more suitable country for life. Overall FC.

A fake country ruled by a corrupt oligarchy that keeps 90% of their population in poverty while they live the highest living standards in the world. Did you know Mexico is actually richer than Portugal? Its just that it is distributed lopsidedly, and the elite would rather hire private armies than pay taxes for real national institutions.

Mostly true. But it's no more fake than the US.

Success brings legitimization. Mexico had every advantage the US had. Oceans to defend it, no invasions post-1848, a well-educated population by 19th century standards, and managed to  it up. Just like Argentina which was richer than France in 1900.
