Suppose that instead of Obama/Biden versus McCain/Palin, we had the above tickets. The Democratic nominee is Steny Hoyer, the house majority leader, and he selects the house majority whip, James Clyburn, for VP. The Republican nominee is John Boehner, the house minority leader, and he selects the house minority whip, Roy Blunt, for VP. What is the outcome? You can use maps.
