While I have the utmost confidence in Xahar's capabilities as AG, I feel that his personal history, his statements on the subject, and his [edit: alleged] criminal history prohibit  him from being a fair prosecutor of Ben.

1.  He has a clear conflict of interest and dislikes Ben intensely.  He is part of the "Gang of Three" as I would term them -- people who have a negative obsession with Ben.  Additionally, Xahar has [edit: allegedly] hacked Ben's account in the past.

2.
You have to live in the Mideast to get drawn for jury right? Too bad.

You could move...

I'll see what I can do. The crime might have been committed in the Southeast, but I don't expect a decent jury there.

3.  Xahar has also [edit: allegedly] had a fake account but I don't believe he voted with it.  While this doesn't make him necessarily an unjust prosecutor, it could make him an ineffective one in court.

Thus I urge Xahar to step aside and let someone without a clear conflict of interest to prosecute Ben.  It would probably result in a higher chance of Ben being punished since it would remove a number of arguments the defense would otherwise make!

Xahar's fake account ran for office, voted and has voted for a while. The only complication in Xahar's case is that he claims it is a friend and it has posted from other locations outside of Mr. Xahar's house. However, its only activity is to vote in fantasy elections.

Why these actions by Mr. Xahar go unnoticed while Mr. Constine is prosecuted and publicly embarrassed is amazing to me. It is also a testament to the stupidity of this game that Xahar is the Attorney General after engaging in worse activities than Mr. Constine. It is a joke, just like this "prosecution." Mr. Constine is set to receive this kind of treatment, then Mr. Xahar needs to be prosecuted for hacking, having dual accounts, and removed as Attorney General. I'm not being partisan; I am being fair. I think it's a tremendous injustice that Mr. Xahar has gotten no scrutiny for his continued actions, while Mr. Constine has gotten harsh punishments.

I was in favor of him stepping down, but Xahar going after him for less crimes than what he himself has committed is laughable. The only difference in the two is Mr. Xahar is much smarter and knows how to get away with his actions, while Ben is not. I call for a new prosecutor if this charade is destined to continue.

Uhh:

1. I've hacked Ben's account? Are we going on the lynchfest again?
2. Yes, I intend to move to a region where I can get a fair trial. The Mideast, Ben's home region, is the only other region where a case could be made that a crime had been committed.
3. No, I didn't have a fake account.

Ben's clearly guilty here (he's confessed), so I don't see the problem.

I do not intend on this being an anti-Xahar thread.  Thank you of my correction of my "I don't believe he ever voted with it" language.

Let's be focused on the trial at hand and gather signatures.

Oh, and I intend to fully prosecute this case. I'm not sure what the purpose of this petition is.

I can see both sides of letting Xahar do this, but if the decision is made that he shouldn't then I suggest trying to drag Ernest out of retirement.

We know Cookies and Milk is your account. The only difference is that you just tell your "friend" who to vote for. It's smart because you can't be committed for a crime, but that doesn't mean you don't control another account. It has posted from your IP before, as the AG looked into it during the August 2008 midterms.

This isn't meant to be a lynch Xahar thread, but all of these episodes are reasons why you are not fit to prosecute Ben. It's really ashamed he's this stupid so now you can have your fun with him.

If Xahar were an honest prosecutor he'd already have recused himself from this case.

This is the exact kind of thing I was afraid of when I initially opposed Xahar's appointment to the post of Attorney General. I echo Daniel Adams' sentiment.

I'd like to remind you that I retain the confidence of the people of Atlasia as vested in its Senate. I will thus be ignoring these signatures.

Please remember to X sign your names people!

I'd like to remind you that I retain the confidence of the people of Atlasia as vested in its Senate. I will thus be ignoring these signatures.

Even the most capable lawyers have to recuse themselves from cases where they have a personal conflict of interest.  Ignoring this is your full right, but I wish to draw your attention to the insanity of prosecuting this and draw the Senate's attention to this issue as well.  All petitions are, on their face, ignorable.

I wish for you to remain an Attorney General and I think you'll be a great one.

No need to defend yourself further on this thread Xahar.  This isn't about you but rather whether your relationship with Ben precludes you from being a fair and competent prosecutor of Ben.  Like I said, even the best lawyers (in real life and hopefully here) aren't really allowed to take cases with whom they have a clear personal history.

Thanks.

Additionally, Xahar has  hacked Ben's account in the past.

I'd appreciate a cite as to the alleged hacking.
