This is a petition to recall the Governor of the Mideast Region, Ben Constine, for committing the federal crime of dual voter registration.

Moderator Alcon has confirmed in the Atlas board (here) that it is very likely that Ben Constine is also posing as The Populist (same IP).

The governor has definitely abused the trust of the Mideast....and in the interest of the Mideastern citizens, I believe it is absolutely necessary to hear what they have to say about this entire matter.

It's clear that the governor created a fake account, yes. It's also clear that he registered that fake account to vote, yep. It's not entirely clear whether he actually intended to vote on that account....but truly....I don't see any reason to register without actually wanting to vote.

Therefore, in a non-partisan effort....I believe it is my duty to force the Governor to face the people of the Mideast.

I will neither endorse nor oppose an actuall recall myself at the present time, but a motion to vote on it is only fair and just.

Today marks a sad day for both Atlasia as well as this great region.  Benconstine has been my friend and ally for years, which is why news of his voter fraud comes as both a shock and extreme disappointment to me.

Procedurally, a moderator must confirm somewhere in the Atlasia board that Benconstine did in fact have another account, with the name The Populist.  This is necessary to continue the separation between Atlasia and the other forum boards as set down in our Constitution.

I now call on a moderator to do so.

It is with great regret and sadness that I know call for the resignation of Benconstine.  In order to see to it that Ben is removed as quickly as possible, I also hereby sign the proposal for his recall.

Clause 3 of Section 1 specifically states that what Ben did was illegal.  I don't care whether the precedent to enforce this or not has been in the past.  In order to better Atlasia, our laws must be enforced.  Ben should be prosecuted.  It pains me to say that, believe me, but it must be done.
