Ultimate poll of death! Evil

Summary (parties ordered by votes in the 2001 election):

BNP: Corrupt (conservative). Started by Ziaur Rahman, military dictator who took power after killing Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family and who was later assassinated. Currently led by Zia's widow, ex-PM Khaleda Zia. Allied with the Jamaat-e-Islami.
Awami League: Corrupt (nominally socialist). Won an absolute majority in the Pakistani election of 1971 led by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who later declared a single-party state and made himself President-for-Life before being killed with most of his family. Currently led by Mujib's daughter, ex-PM Sheikh Hasina. Formerly allied with the Jatiya Party.
Jatiya Party: Would be corrupt if it had the chance. Started by Hossain Mohammad Ershad, took power in a coup soon after Zia's killing before coming to the realization that all Bangladeshi dictators meet the same fate, and stepping down to avoid that fate. Still led by Ershad (whom my dad met once). Formerly allied with the Awami League.
Jamaat-e-Islami: Non-corrupt, but unfortunately fundies. Relatively new political force. Their leader is not a dictator, nor does he have any dictators in his immediate family, and thus I have no idea who he is.

The other parties are all irrelevant jokes who most likely buy the few seats in Parliament that they get.

Tune in on December 29 to see which scumbag gets the chance to become Prime Minister again!

This county is very lucky. That is a very good choice of parties. They seem very ethical.

Jatiya, least worst.

Good job on having a political spectrum with parties worst than the Greek parties. That takes work.
