Lets say Wallace was not shot and ran third party... ultra conservative actor John Wayne is his running mate.  Nixon/Agnew and McGovern/Shriver of course happened in real life.  (Lets say Wayne was mad at Nixon for something and that is why he accepted the vp spot.)

Probably McGovern to keep Wallace from coming in 3rd.

Also, I would in retrospect not really want Nixon to win. Tongue

None of the above. Of the 1972 candidates, probably John Hospers.

Hospers.

Of those three, McGovern.

I would vote for our greatest President ever, and our worst Vice-President ever.

I'd vote for Wayne, but not Wallace. In 1972, probably would have voted Nixon; with hindsight, I hate all the choices but put a gun to my head, and I'll go with Nixon.
