What would be a good republican ticket that could be formidable to Obama. I haven't seen any as of yet.

Romney/Rice

The economy and the Obama continuation of the Iraq war plays well for this ticket.

Romney/Jindal-Both Washington outsiders and has many strengths. Would work well if economy is still bad and people are pissed at Obama for not fixing. Lacks National Security experience and thus if foriegn policy is important that would be a major Weakness.

In 2007 I would have said yes to the reverse of that but not know. They would kill each other. Huckabee thinks Romney is the cause of all the GOP's problems, or atleast thats the impression you get from his book. Huck is also mad b/c Romney didn't call him to sooth his ego after Iowa. Romney probably doesn;t even hold a grudge at him b/c thats not his style but Huck definately does.

Romney/Jindal or Romney/Huckabee, but Huckabee would never take a VP position with Romney.

Now, if you had it the other way around (Huckabee/Romney) then Romney probably would take the VP slot.

But I don't think Huckabee would offer it to him.

And I'd vote for a Specter/Snowe ticket.

Romney - Pawlenty. Only problem is Mitt is out of work untill then.   They'd most likely just be lambs but its better then any Palin combo.

I don't think Romney would accept being anyones V.P. especially Huckabee's. He said several times he had no interest in being V.P. as did Huckabee. There is no way there will be a Romney Huck combo and I already predicted Huck won't be nominated for President by the GOP. Even if he were a Huck Romney combo would be unlikely cause Huck hates Romney's guts. Plus there is a chance Romney may not run at all in 2012 especially if some info I just heard about his wife turns out to be true.

He explicitly said he wanted to be McCain's runningmate.

And what did you hear about his wife?

Yes but he dismissed any notion of joining the cabinet and I think he feels the same way about being V.P.

I heard she had an early stage of breast cancer. If thats the case Mitt won't run b/c he is not John Edwards.

I'm pretty sure of Oklahoma and Utah going R.  ;-)

Wow -- that electoral defeat would be a stake in the heart of fundamentalism, wouldn't it?

I am confident Romney would take VP in a second, under almost anyone... even Huckabee.

I heard she had an early stage of breast cancer. If thats the case Mitt won't run b/c he is not John Edwards.

That's right. She recently underwent minor surgery to treat an early case. I hear that it's called "ductal carcinoma in sutu" or DCIS.
