They didn't learn their lesson in 2002, they won't today. They'll blame the evil libruhls and the evil right and Sarkozy.

Historical tidbit: First victory in a Euro election by the President's party since 1979. Best Green result nationally in French history (superior to 1989, probably 1992 and 1993)

What is more for the PS is that, for now, Peillon will be lected but has failed. And Hamon may be ... beaten !
2 youngs, whatever their differences, down...

Bayrou has heavily lost Smiley

But Royal may be considered as a victor inside the PS... Sad

Surely, they feared he could be not elected in case of less than 18%, so 14%...

What a slap.

Aubry speaks.

Revised French exit poll:

UMP 28.3%
PS 16.8%
Greens 15.7%
MoDem 8.5%

AEI at "3%". So Greenies of all stripes are ahead of the PS.

Bertrand mentions 28 MEPs for the UMP.

Anyways, these are all exit polls and not results. Results come out officially by 22:00. 16:00 for us North Americans.
