Write-in 44 (6%)
Barr 24 (3%)
Obama 14 (2%)
McKinney 13 (2%)

Hey, who knew Nader was so popular in polygamy country...

Hahahah.

Man, Utah (with Baldwin on the ballot and doing so much better) is going to be hilarious.

For reference, 2004 was:

Bush 606
Badnarik 11
Kerry 1

In the primaries, Colorado City Republicans went as follows

Paul 51, Romney 44, McCain 30, Huckabee 7, Thompson 1, McGrath 1

Colorado City Democrats voted weirdly.

Edwards 4, William Campbell 2, Clinton 1, Daley 1, Rich Lee 1, Lynch 1, Obama 1

Not surprising.  The weirdest people always vote for Paul.

Statistically, strange things happen when you have such a small sample.

I was wondering how Romney would play in these places. After all they consider him a heretic who follows a false church.

I think Romney was the real Manchurian candidate of this cycle.Smiley

The feeling is mutual. Back during the primaries, he said something like "I can't imagine anything more dreadful than polygamy," which is a somewhat strong statement and atypical. The common LDS view is that polygamy is wrong, but it was acceptable at the time and people respect that tradition for what it was in its place.

I didn't know Mormon fundamentalists were allowed to vote, and that if they could, they liked Nader that much. How's that crazy Texas ranch doing nowadays?

I'm curious to see results from the other polygamous enclaves now.
