Keith Olbermann for President and Rachel Maddow  for Vice President, Democratic
Bill O'Reilly for President and Sean Hannity for Vice President, Republican
Lou Dobbs for President and Nancy Grace for Vice President, Independent

(1) What's the popular vote percentages in this race?
(2) What's the electoral map in this race?
(3) Which debate(s) are more entertaining: Presidential or Vice Presidential?

O'Reilly would win as long as Hannity keeps out of the spotlight.  O'Reilly is a right center-right hack, but not a partisan one.

you really think the perception of O'Reilly as some moderate pragmatist would hold up over the course of a national campaign?  (does he even have that perception now, outside of his 89%-for-McCain viewership demographic?)  he would (accurately) be portrayed as an unstable, bullying loon.  and the clip of him flipping out and cursing out the camera crew from Inside Edition or whatever it was in the 1980s wouldn't help matters much, either.

Olbermann wins in the bloodiest campaign since 1800 or so.  these two hate each other, hardcore.

Olbermann/Maddow (D): 272
O'Reilly/Hannity (R): 172
Dobbs/Grace (I): 94

The Dobbs/Grace ticket costs O'Reilly the election. The popular vote is Olbermann 39, O'Reilly 36, Dobbs 24.. The Presidential debate is easily the most entertaining.

You're totally right here, though it's worth noting that he would probably poll somewhat better in the early campaign than he would on election day.

Dobbs/Grace would win in a landslide after Olbermann and O'Reilly kill each other after the 2nd debate.

I still think O'Reilly would win solidly, I think he can speak in a way that appeals to the masses immensely better than the other two.  Even during this election, self-identifiers of "conservative" have a 10-point edge over "liberal."

O'Reilly would get slaughtered. The only appeal that O'Reilly has comes when he can shut off his guests microphones, tell them to shut up, and pretend be some sort of hard nosed surrogate for "real America". In a debate format, Olbermann would embarrass O'Reilly. Provided that O'Reilly doesn't do it himself. Dobbs is a non-factor, he'll get the Buchanan Brigade...that's about it.

Wow, you're really translating your own bias hardcore.

How often is O'Reilly embarrassed during his own interviews (2-3 a day, 5 years) - and he does debate smart people maybe once or twice a week?

When the American public wants to elect a left-wing idealogue, wake me up.  Do any moderates even watch Olbermann's show?  Everyone that says Olbermann makes me laugh.

As we've seen many times in American politics... one small embarrassment/screw up can change the course of an election.

Olbermann isn't free of any gaffes, but he certainly wouldn't implode like O'Reilly would.  Combine that with a serious anger problem and you've got a recipe for disaster.

Why would an Independent win in the House?

Because the two others are hacks.

I reject the notion that Olbermann is a partisan hack and the heavy implication that because of his bias he is somehow on the same level of O'Reilly. Sorry that I'm not part of the cool "they're all tools" crowd.

And for the record, Olbermann and Maddow would win; Dobbs and O'Reilly will assure destruction for the other, and even considering an Olberman-O'Reilly race, you're still looking at a Democratic victory.

O'Reilly easily.  Olbermann is really sick, the guy spends his life obsessing over Bill O'Reilly who is infinitely more successful and Olbermann can't handle the truth

I despise Olbermann & Dobbs more than O'Reilly so that's how I would vote.
