You all have been so nice to me and, in fairness, I haven't provided you with fodder.  So maybe this will help.  Granted, nothing I am going to say in this thread will be that bizarre.  You won't find me predicting a McCain win in Hawaii or an Obama victory in Kansas.

But here are a few peculiarities that I think may occur...and I offer them (best of all) with no statistical or analytical evidence to back them up.  I hope I can count on you all to mock me and pillory each one, when they prove to be the exact opposite of what actually occurs.

:-) :-) :-)

1.   John McCain loses the election.  But wins New Hampshire.
2.   Indiana's flirtation with Senator Obama proves to be nothing more.  McCain wins the state
      by 10 points.
3.   McCain wins Louisiana.  But...it's close.  Don't ask me how close.  I need my nap.
4.   Jack Murtha will be defeated.
5.   Barack Obama will win North Dakota.  (You'll note, ballsy guy that I am, I didn't say so on
      my last map.)
6.   Saxby Chambliss will get the boot in the ass he so richly deserves.
7.   John Sununu will hang on to his seat in the Senate.
8.   A few states will go over 60% for Obama and a couple will for McCain.  Delaware, and
not Hawaii, Illinois or Vermont, will return the largest margin over 60% for Obama.  I am
thinking 65-66%.  (I am, of course, excluding D.C.)
9.   Florida -- and not North Carolina, Missouri, or Nevada -- will be the closest of all the states.
Perhaps not 2000-ish...but still awfully tight.  I guess that might not qualify as a surprise,
      huh?  Oh well...
10.   The Noriega-Cornyn race will be closer than the polls or pundits project.  Cornyn wins,
         but we make him sweat.

Have fun.  If I get one of these ten correct, I will be doing better than in past years.

The only ones I really cannot see happen are points number 1 and 2...the others are still ok.

Me, too.  Chambliss is a coward and a cur.
