McCain - 51
Obama - 38

Whites (69% of the sample):

McCain - 73
Obama - 17

Blacks (31% of the sample):

Obama: 85
McCain: 2

These are the results of the latest Southeastern Statewide Poll of registered voters in Louisiana. The Poll was conducted from October 20 through 23, 2008, using a random sample of registered voters. The sample size is 503, which results in a maximum sampling error of + 4.46% at a 95% confidence level. Smaller subsample sizes yield smaller sampling errors.

My preliminary prediction for LA:

Whites (67%): Obama 18%, McCain 81%
Blacks (32%): Obama 96%, McCain 3%
Others (1%): Obama 68%, McCain 31%

State result: McCain 55.6%, Obama 43.5%

Side note: Blacks make up 35% of LA early voters so far ...
