Seems like the only good news for Republicans this year.

What kind of governor would McCrory be?

This is wrong, they fliped McCrory and Purdue name when they post it. Look at the link.. McCrory winning 80% of the Democrats and Purdue winning 84% of Republican. Can you fix that please?

Duke is right, Kos made a mistake with the internals and obviously switched the two parties.  I don't know if that is reflected in the topline numbers or not though so I don't feel comfortable switching them.

Purdue
Democrats = 0.44*0.8=0.352
Republicans = 0.35*0.1=0.035
Independents/Others = 0.21*0.44=0.0924

= 47.94% Purdue

McCrory
Democrats = 0.44*0.1=0.044
Republicans = 0.35*0.84=0.294
Independents/Others = 0.21*0.43=0.0903

= 42.83% McCrory

Matches their math completely.  He just flipped the columns.  The poll should be corrected to show Purdue leading 48% to 43%.

I think we should automatically assign R2K a -1% credibility rating from here on out if they make these types of mistakes.  I think Kos basically copied and pasted information that was emailed to him, and yet he was misspelling candidates' names and claiming that the GOP was getting 80% of African-Americans.

I mean, R2K is doing more state polling than almost any other firm, perhaps beat by Rasmussen, so there's bound to be an occasional mistake.  But still.

Too bad, but expected.  The Republicans always peak in August and decline until election day.

I just feel sorry that we have to elect Beverly Perdue of all people.  OMG, a woman governor!  No.

Isn't this an Democratic poll. Most non -partisan polls have McCrory up. A WRAL poll has McCrory leading 50%-46%. That was reeleased Wednesday. Perdue just isn't catching fire like Easily did and her commercials are absolutely disgusting. They don't even talk about real issues facing the state, instead they are full of sharply negative attacks claiming McCrory wants to dump Garbage from New York in North Carolina, and it ends saying "don't let him dump on us". McCrory's ad responded saying the only Garbage here was Perdue's commercials.

I don't think it'd be unreasonable to guess that McCrory has the edge in the governor's race, Hagan is ls leading in the presidential race, and Obama is the organizational mastah in the presidential race.  If things are close, the Democrats may win all three due to organizational advantages, but the GOP is beginning to pay attention to the three races, so I'm not sure.

Dole is a dud and McCain only has the historic structural advantages in North Carolina, nothing new.

But it's not the Democrats that are the only people that are intelligent to realize that North Carolina is competitive on three different levels at least.

Rasmussen has been doing a lot of the same mistakes on their website.

Hagan is ls leading in the presidential race,

It would be unfortunate for North Carolina to award its electoral votes to Kay Hagan.
