You'd think they'd save their money and wait until the verdict was in.

So, Stevens is ahead and Young is close.  Sounds about right.

Does anyone really think that old Uncle Ted won't win again at this point?

He ain't exactly going to get a bounce if he gets convicted.

I have this fantasy of a Stevens ad: Some may think I am a crook who built the home I love on the cheap, some may think I am an earmark whore, but one thing nobody thinks, is that I will be the 60th vote to pass Obama's schemes to screw our state - on oil, on controlling our own resources, on guns, on anything that you care about. Think about it. Don't give THE ONE a filibuster proof Senate majority. It is up to us. The lower 48 are ready to screw us. I'm the wall.

In a word, it might be the prospect of the Dem wave itself, which saves Stevens from himself.

That's actually quite inventive and amusing.  Smiley

But if Stevens gets off, Begich stands no chance.  I'm only going to point out this once that I've been right about this all along (even with all my other failings).  Tongue

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if Young gets through.  The DCCC is going to throw close to a million in advertising to try against a man who has no money.  Alaska may say f-u there too.

Re-electing Stevens and Young would be a great way for Alaska to be seen as a total joke by the rest of the country and further isolate and de-pork it. Palin has been embarrassment enough.

With maybe 10% of people knowing anything about Stevens or Young.
