Just announced on TV.  I don't think they've been posted.

Oct 11-14, MoE +/-3.5%

Colorado: 51-47 Obama
Florida: 51-46 Obama
Georgia: 53-45 McCain
Missouri: 49-48 McCain
Virginia: 53-43 Obama

Except for Virginia, all pretty OK for McCain.  Florida is about at an Obama +6 national, Virginia is a bit above that, while the other three are more like Obama +3 or +4.

only sort of true because, of course, if Obama wins any of these states, he will be President, and he leads 3 of them by 4 or more % which is actually a significant lead.  Not to mention Missouri's nearly tied.  Georgia really shouldn't be in play regardless, so I'd say these are pretty status quo polls, except for Virginia which is good for Obama.

Changes are pretty neutral from last week. Obama gained a net point in each of Florida and Virginia, lost two net points in Missouri, and stayed the same in Colorado. CNN hadn't polled Georgia before.

If he's lost Virginia then McCain has lost the election.

All these polls showing Obama up by high single or low double digits in Virgina.  Is this BS? Can there really be an 18 point swing in the state from 2004?

I know the northern part of the state is getting more liberal, but it's still a southern GOP state with a lot of vets, I just can't believe McCain is getting blown out there, even with Obama up 5-6 nationally (I think that's the true margin).

WV did it from 1996 to 2000.

Except McCain absolutely has to win Colorado, Virginia, and Florida. It's almost inconceivable that he can win without all three.

Being down outside the MOE in three must win states is a bit of a stretch to call "ok".
