Seems the republican party has a problem with this Cheney, Nixion etc...  Its funny to hear you defend abuse of power , although you have know problem calling Obama a socialist.

Glad to see you've finally stopped lying about being a Republican. Since you really have no credibility after that, should I even bother with you? Nah, just read what's been said already, no need to go over this again with the likes of you.

A conspiracy developed amongst disgruntled Republicans because Palin beat the Republican establishment candidate and the Democrats because Palin completely humiliated their man in the election for Governor.

Picked up by the left wing media and exploited for partisan purposes.

The American public is smart enough to see this for what it is, a left wing media hatchet job on a great American wife, mother, and public servant.

In the normal world, a majority of people will now see Sarah Palin as being Dick Cheney with lipstick.

After the election is over, make sure to tell McCain he did one heck of a job in picking his running mate, OK?

Keep spinning away hack.

Just remember "no legal action needs to be taken".

Whether or not legal action needs to be taken, you better get used to seeing Florida in the Obama/Biden column, bud Smiley

I've already prepared myself for that. I do have comfort in knowing all the good counties of Florida will be going for McCain however.

If you say so. BTW, do you think Rock Hudson, Reagan's old pal, is in heaven?

Don't know, don't care. Yeah! Try a religious attack on a classical deist.

That's a stupid comparison but I'm considering the source.

So are you saying that being gay = terrorist? Even I don't believe that sh*t, you're disgusting.

What about Roy Cohn, Bob Allen, Larry Craig, need I really continue?

Ok, now you're just going off into silliness. Good night.

Silliness? Reagan was associated in some way or another with each of these prominent Republicans. Do you believe those associations made Ronald Reagan unfit for office, or maybe even secretly gay in some way?

I don't think so. I don't think those associations matter just like I do not think the associations Obama has with aforementioned questionable characters has anything to do with Obama's character. What matters is the character of Obama, not who he has met or dealt with over the years. Obama has shown great character in this race - certainly much more character than the pouting, erratic, snarly McCain of late. In both debates, only Obama has seemed presidential and ready for the job of POTUS.

Funny how they are trying to go after acorn... attempt to depress turnout?

Its a fact that in elections where turnout is low republicans always win go figure.

Wooten deserved to be fired but the commissioner did not. Not a big deal for me though since there are much, much better reasons why Palin shouldn't be VP, mainly that she is incompetent for a national office. I think she can read up more on national issues and do better in 2012 but having her in the white house right now would be dangerous.

She would actually live in the Naval Observatory, since the WH is where the President lives.  She is running for VP not POTUS.

Look I know she won't really have any power but what if the worst happens. She is one heartbeat away from the WH and that is damn scary.

Although Obama and Palin both may lack in experience, at least Obama has been on the national scene the last 4 years and has been running for president for the last two. He has taken hundreds of thousands of questions from voters and journalists alike. Love him or hate him, we do have a good understanding of who Obama is. Can't say the same about Palin. It is also obvious he has a better grasp on the issues than Palin does. Can't really blame her since she was the governor of a small state and she didn't really need to deal with national issues. Also imho she does seem a little intellectually incurious.

I'm too lazy to read through the whole thread.  But can someone just answer this question: Is Palin going to be sanctioned in any way as a result of this finding?

The only relevant part of the whole article:

"I believe that these findings may help people come to a conclusion on how they should vote" in the presidential election, Elton said.

It's an independent investigator, so not as a direct result, but my inclination is that the legislature may press for an ethical sanction if possible.  They don't like her.

I like how instead of explaining themselves, they are still just pointing fingers....directly at the Obama Campaign. Classy.

This isnt the thread for this, but campaigning for 2 years and taking questions doesnt qualify you to be president

The experience issue wouldn't be an issue had the McCain camp not jumped on it to start with.

It does show that you are knowledgeable and ready to be president. I don't really buy the "experience" argument since novices have been good president while the most experienced have screwed up. It really comes down to judgment imho. And of course having the right amount of knowledge is key as well. Palin has not been able to show she is knowledgeable.
