I think it is smart for Obama to start talking about the cost of the war in Iraq. Now that we are going broke it is now safe to talk about the money without being branded as 'hating the troops' because you want he oil rich Iraqis to pay for their own security

The war has cost $700 B since 2003; the economy has cost $750 B since September 1.

I don't think either of them won that little back and forth. That was just ridiculous.

Did Tom Brokaw just call for establishing a military dictatorship in Afghanistan?

McCain just won't let this one go.

McCain voted for both, and McCain's deregulation would just make things worse.

Damn i thought McCain was good at townhalls?

If they're filled with McCain supporters, and no moderator, and certainly no Democrat, he tends to do a fair amount better.

No wonder McCain wanted those townhalls...

McCain still has a very good chance of finishing strong, especially with an answer like this.

I'm getting tired of this silly back and forth that doesn't really mean much, and is brought up every time.

"OMG! He sung a silly song about Iran!"
"Yeah, well he opposed the surge!"
"Yeah, well you supported the invasion in the first place!"

The back and forth about what was supported in the past is rather pointless, and doesn't really benefit anyone, and I'm tired of seeing it happen over and over in every debate and stuff.

The first question on mortgages, McCain won.  He may have won on the health care issues.

The numbers only move when they talk about what they will do.

True, they especially go flat, or even lower when either gets negative about the other.

Obama is not finishing very strongly.  He needs to win on the next question.

Buzzword of the day: "Petrodollars"!

I liked McCain's handshake with the voter. It looked (at least to me) rather authentic, and I think will go over pretty good.
