Before the debate:

Obama - 47%
McCain - 43%

After the debate:

Obama - 54%
McCain - 40%

The surveys were conducted of 346 likely voters between Sept. 29 and Oct. 1, and 418 likely voters between Oct. 3 and Oct. 5. The margin of error is +/-5.3 percentage points and 4.8 points, respectively.
