Considering Mitty's support of gun control and free trade, both parts of this statement make him much more favorable towards McCain I'd think.

I couldn't care less about Mitty's opinions.  My comment was focused on the jarring juxtaposition of two unrelated issues in one ad.

Yes, but two issues that appeal to a certain demographic. The ad is clearly targeted at blue-collar gun owners.
