In these bleak times, I'd like each poster to take a shot at finishing the above sentence.

I'll go first:  "It isn't so bad...the Dow could've been down 8000."

OK, that was pretty weak.  Do better.  Come on, all ye Polyannas and cockeyed optimists!

Sad  What about those of us entering the job market soon who will get paid 10% less, overall, for the rest of our lives?  It's well documented that entering the job market after college with high unemployment just shoves a stick up your career's ass.  It's sort of a compiling effect, you take jobs that are less than ideal, setting you up for a less impressive resume, if you can even get a job, for the next forty years.

It isn't so bad..... I can always beg my parents for money to pay rent when unemployment hits 10%!

It isn't so bad, because in college, food and shelter was already paid for at the beginning of the semester.

...gas prices have been sent tumbling. Which frankly makes this a net plus for me since I don't want to buy a home (like ever), or a new car anytime soon.

Plus Duke is miserable and supposedly lost a ton of cash. That's a REAL day brightener.

...because my student loan has zero interest for the next four years, meaning that soaring inflation will help me.
