Yeah, yeah, Iran's been doing that for years. That said, the Majlis has a Jewish member.

Any chance the Persians and Jews could ever come together against the Arabs?  Obviously not anytime in the next decade or so, but maybe 20 or 30 years out?

20 or 30 years is unrealistic, but Persian-Arab (and Persian-Turk) relations have never been good. Not under this rule, but perhaps under a new government. If it happened, it wouldn't be in your lifetime, but it may be in mine.

So, this Vice President says that Iran has no problem with the people of Israel, only their government (standard boilerplate rhetoric about countries you don't like, see us with the Iraqis pre-invasion).  Ayatollah Khameini corrects him?  And Ahmadinejad defends him?  Have Ahmadinejad and Khameini switched ideologies while I wasn't looking?

Looks like it the stars might realign with US/Arabs against the Persians in the short run. I'm pretty sure Egypt and Jordan would be publically pro-US in such a conflagration and maybe the Khaleeji Arabs would sign on as well as prejudice against Persians and Shi'ites runs deep in the peninsula.
