No.

Because as J.J says McCain is a man of action not words. Maybe he'll turn up and do interpretive dance?

Barney Frank says the deal is off. The McCain campaign is politicizing this.

He's played hooky for 5 1/2 months and still doesn't want to go to work. Of course, he doesn't want to debate, either.

It's not so much that he's playing hooky from th4e Senate; it's that he has been clueless about economic developments, and now, when he finally sees there's a problem, he wants everybody to stop everything while he plays "catch up."

But McCain has 5 1/2 years of POW economic experience to make up for his slow learning.

Interview tuesday 23rd: ....

ANCHOR: As for the massive Wall Street bailout McCain insists it have...

JSM: Oversight that is effective and transparent. We need people like Warren Buffet and Mike Bloomberg and Mitt Romney to have an oversight of this. We can’t put that responsibility in the hands of one person.

ANCHOR: The crunch question. Would you vote for it as it’s presently constructed?

JSM: I have not had a chance to see it in writing so I have to examine that.

The plan is only three pages long.

I'd leave the POW stuff out of it. Mccain was reacting weakly to all this bailout stuff. Even George Will was praising Obama over McCain on the issue. McCain had to do something to get the attention back on him.

When Congressional leaders make the big announcement, will the McCain campaign photoshop him into the picture?
