Enough said.

This is not good for Franken, although some people probably like this crap in a senator.

The Franken camp's response: It's a distraction.

"Norm Coleman says he wants you to see this because what he doesn't want you to see is his record of supporting George Bush nearly 90 percent of the time, selling out to the special interests, and ignoring Minnesota's middle class," said Franken spokeswoman Colleen Murray.

This is one race I am really torn about.  I definitely do NOT like Franken.  But I have never had much respect for Coleman either.  Pretty said when you find yourself wishing someone would bring back crazy Mark Dayton...

Franken is such a disgusting slimebag.  I hate him almost as much as Ned Lamont.

You would never see Norm Coleman lose his temper.

Not because he just knows how to keep his cool.. but because he has absolutely no passion for what he believes in, because what he believes in changes with the political winds.

Paul Wellstone got pissed off a lot too and made a lot of very angry statements.  And he did it while fighting for the people he represented.

If I were Al Franken, I'd be pissed off too.  Because he's running against a slimebag who wriggles his way in and out of every little crack he can find.

Those weren't quotes from Franken when he was even considering a senate race.  So, while he might be pissed off in this clips, he's not pissed off at Coleman.

That's not the point.

What do you mean?

The point was that Franken does not have the personality of a senator, right?

Right...that doesn't mean he had to be pissed off at Coleman. It's about his general attitude.

Franken should have tried for congress first. He has set his sights too high.

This pretty much sums up why I have such a terrible dislike of Franken.

That's mighty funny, since he only switched parties over his old party's inability to accept his core convictions.

I don't really care if politicians say this kind of thing in their prior lives.  He was an entertainer, hyperbole can be OK.  And his "you were wrong, man" line doesn't really sound angry so much as indignant.

On the other hand, I actually believe Franken has the wrong temperament for the U.S. Senate, so, like, I don't really blame Coleman.  Plus, his feign-concerned "I think you need to see this" at the beginning was great.

What do senators do again?

I think comedy trumps effectiveness.

...
...

..

I mean, besides Udall, Landrieu, Larocco, Boxer, and Durbin.

You were making the argument that he said these things before he even considered running as if to say that his anger didn't matter.

I thought you were saying that because these comments weren't directed at his opponent or about the race that they shouldn't matter.

Why do you not like Franken?

Is it because most conservatives having an overwhelming dislike for him and in the interests of being "fair and balanced" you choose to do so also?

There is absolutely no reason why a liberal should not like Franken.

Coleman is a piece of trash who is only anti-war when it is his generation who is fighting.
