Is Kerry going to debate Cobb?  I read that Cobb asked Kerry if he'd debate him since Bush may be unwilling to debate.

Third party canndidates frequently challange the major canndidates to debate them. Seldom do they agree. An example of this would be the recent badnarik-cobb debaate. Both Bush and Kerry were invited but choose not to attend.

Well, but was at his convention, so he couldn't attend.

Is Kerry going to debate Cobb?  I read that Cobb asked Kerry if he'd debate him since Bush may be unwilling to debate.

That would be an unbelievably stupid move on Kerry's part.  One of two things would result:

1. Kerry would distance himself from Green positions, alienating the Insane Left and giving the GOP ammo to use against Kerry (you don't honestly think they're above running sneaky "Kerry isn't a real liberal" ads in Milwaukee and Cleveland, do you?)

2. Kerry would *not* distance himself from Green positions, in which case the GOP jumps all over Kerry for being an Insane Liberal.

Derned if you do, derned if you don't, as the fellow says...
