Why was he carrying a tranq gun?  Shouldn't the professionals be doing that?

I wouldn't be terribly suprised if Putin always carried around a tranq gun on his person...just in case.

I'm sure he knows how to fire a gun, but why was he carrying a rifle full of tranquilizer in the first place? It just seems like an odd coincidence. Typically the ones carrying rifles are the ones doing the bodyguarding, not the one being guarded.
