http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/8/30/121350/137/486/580223

The gist of it is that Palin's last pregnancy was really just a cover-up for her 16-year-old daughter's accidental pregnancy, and Trig Palin is her grandson, not her son. I know it's a DailyKos article, but it's (as far as I can see) pretty well researched and convincing.

It's not proven, but there does make an interesting argument.

This article is funny. My mother when she was carrying my sister only gain 10 pounds and formed a very small belly. So just because she doesn't look like she was doesn't mean she wasn't.

The lengths the left is going to discredit Palin are disguisting.

So, no one's going to refute any of the points raised in the article? Just attacking DailyKos? That's kind of what I expected.

I gotta say -- I want Palin to lose.  But I have never considered Kos credible on anything, except his own experiences in the war.

I like Markos, I really do.  But news source?  Feh.

A red herring.

If this is true, it calls into question Palin's judgment and her claim of having strong family values.

But I guess the American people have no right to know if she is lying, right? She's only going to be the vice president, who gives a ****, right?

How would you have reacted if we posted a link to a far-right blog that claimed Obama is a Muslim?

Markos didn't post this; some random poster on his website did.

If it is true -- and I am sure it's not, she would not lie about something like that -- it can be spun as compassion in action.  Shielding your daughter from insults and ridicule.  And that might not be far from the truth.

There's a LOT to discredit Palin.  But it's in her policies and proposals.  Her family is her business.  And for all the world, it looks like a wonderful family, too.

there are literally hundreds of people who would have spotted this "cover up" and reported it earlier. Staffers, doctors, friends of her daughter, etc. It's just not plausible.

um...what?

"right to know if she is lying."  what does that even mean?  there's no reason for anyone to confront her over this.  that's one of the stupidest sentences i've ever read.

btw, this kind of attack only will come up on Hannity and Limbaugh, somewhere along the lines of "the left is so afraid of this woman they are even going so far as to question the maternity of her baby!"  so....stop.

Which I'd refuse.

By the way, since I don't feel like reading through all of that article, someone please tell me how they think Palin's daughter got in and out of a hospital, gave birth and covered up every loose end?

I would read it, and then point out that the blog isn't using any credible sources. This blog is using credible sources, as well as pictures and video from credible news agencies.

They took her out of school for a couple of months, saying she had mono. Then Palin's water broke, while in Texas, and she flew for 8 hours to Alaska. They then drove to the small hospital in Wassilia (or whatever the town she was mayor of) so that Palin could "give birth."

This all just seems too weird. If it is true, yes, Sarah is wrong for covering it up but this certainly isn't one of the worst things. I must say that if this is used, it will seriously backfire.

Here's something to go on anyway:

A lot of folks needed to be in on the fraud, falsifying the birth papers and the lot.  The hospital and the doctors could lose their license. In a word, it's ludicrous.

OK, so let's see your "evidence":
* Palin "doesn't look" pregnant
* Her daughter had mono and took time off school.

Do you not see how absolutely unconvincing you are? And how vile your lies are?

Also, consider that "babies born to teen mothers rarely have Down's Syndrome anyway, whereas the possibility for that with a mother in her 40s is about 1 in 20. "

And here's Palin on February. Looks pregnant to me.
