Seriously? You really do think people care about this that much, eh... I must have been missing something because Nightly NBC Olympics still seem to be the top priority of some Americans... more than VP pick anyway.

I can't recall the last time J.J. actually thought Obama did something right.....which is a shame, because he's normally a very sharp fellow.

Try about 8 hours ago, when I said pulling ads in FL was exceptionally smart.

Ok, I stand corrected as I didn't see that thread.

I do think the idea that even a terrific VP or a horrible VP can make a difference of more than 1, maybe 2 points nationally max is a bit absurd, though (which is why I think it makes a lot more sense to look at how they'd be as President rather than trying to make a choice for reasons of political expediency).

I think there are several that might gain Obama some EV's, Bayh and to lesser extent Kaine are two.  Richardson would probably add the most.  Biden?  Nothing.  He's not a negative and the worst choice, for either party, since Eagleton, but he's not a good choice.  He's a Bentson, Kemp, Dole, Edwards choice.

I'll say the same thing if McCain chooses Pawlenty.

I'll add, the handling of the announcement is terrible.

Well, Obama decided to stop BIDEN his time, and get BIDEN.
