What would have happened if, following the first Gulf War, the US had decided to invade Baghdad and overthrow Saddam Hussein?  How would things have played out, and what impact would it have had on the 1992 elections?

It's probably what we should have done.  Depending on how it went, Bush probably would have been reelected.  Sep 11th happens sooner and probably not the exact same way.  We still would have gotten a Dem in '96, probably not Bill though.  I don't know else it could have been....Gehpardt?  The GOP would probably still nominate Dole in '96.

Hard to say really.
