Any place that doesn't get snow is pretty much a failure to live in. That said, it is a great place to visit every now and then.

Seriously dawg your anti-california attitude is infuriating. Tongue

Eh, if he ever comes here, he can stay in the Sierra Nevada. Better come in Winter too. Wink

Horrible, I prefer a state with mountains, where it snows a lot, and which is not experiencing 3rd world population growth ... Smiley

I've always lived here, but I want to leave after college and never look back except to visit.

I went with option four. I hate the heat & I also would never live somewhere that is vulnerable to hurricanes. That completely rules out Florida for me.

This.
Say two people who live near a fault line...

...that ruptures maybe twice in a century.

Besides, the weather is good enough to compensate.

I like Southern Florida, nowhere else.  Lee, Collier, Monroe, Miami-Dade, and Broward Counties only, please.

Good weather, fewer old people, an ok economy, seafood, fewer tourist, and less pushy people.  I guess Florida does have better sports teams.

It's not Virginia, but if you find a nice rural town, that is nothing like Miami, or Orlando it's rather nice.  Of course then you have to deal with half the town knowing your business before you do, but hey, on the upside, you know theirs as well.

How is Jacksonville? I've always thought very highly of that city, but alas I've never been to Florida. Tongue How about Tampa and Orlando? I like them too but know nothing about those places.

Jacksonville and Tampa are nice. I'd stay away from Orlando though, crazy drivers.
