http://www.TheNextCheney.com

I'll just show the bullet points.  If you go to the site they have each argument fleshed out.
I find this fascinating, McCain's campaign should really look at this ahead of time to see which arguments are easiest to deflect.  Includes unflattering pictures.

Isn't this retarded to give McCain's team your talking points in advance?

Tim Pawlenty:

Message: McCain/Pawlenty = 3rd Bush/Cheney Term
*Not Afraid to Stand for George Bush's Principles
*Consistent on Support for Bush, Inconsistent on the Issues
*Breaking the Law to Win
*Appealing to Fear and Prejudice
*Pushing Gimmicks Instead of Fixes

Charlie Crist:

Message: Trouble With Ethics
*Proud of the Man Behind the Iraq War
*Campaign Now, Follow the Law Later
*Crist Thinks Bush Does a Heckuva Job Responding to Severe Weather
*Embarrassing for Crist, Terrible for the Public Trust
*No Effect Across the Aisle

Mitt Romney:

Message: Flip-flopper
*Romney Vs. Romney
*Popular with Everyone Named Bush
*Romney-McCain: Not the Kind of Leadership We’d Want, Either
*Romney Could Show McCain How the Economy Works...
*...But Who’s Going to Show Romney How the Economy Works?

John Thune

Message: McCain-Thune = Bush-Cheney
*Giving George Bush Deciding Votes Since 2005
*Standing with Bush on the Issues
*Privatize Social Security: Sounds Good to Bush, Sounds Good to Thune
*Another Lobbyist for McCain
*One Rule for Me, a Different Rule for You

Carly Fiorina

Message: Isn't It Bad Enough She's McCain's Economic Advisor?
*Balancing the Budget, George Bush-Style
*Off-Shoring Is Wrong-Shoring
*Her Own Best Interests At Heart
*Creating a Scandal on Her Way Down
*Lacking a Basic Understanding of the Facts

Fred Smith

Message: In touch with reality?
*Toeing the Administration Line, Ignoring the Facts
*FedEx Lobbyists Get Smith Everything He Wants from McCain
*Smith and McCain Team Up to Harm American Workers
*Getting their Story Straight: Smith Knows McCain Is Wrong About the Gas Tax
*McCain's Judgment Is the One Thing You Can't Count On

Eric Cantor

Message: Same Old Republican...
*Just Like All the Rest, Cantor Votes with Bush
*Just Like Bush, Cantor Fundraised with Abramoff
*Cantor Was Actually Around a Lot of Suspicious Abramoff Events
*All that Corruption Sure Works Up an Appetite
*At Least One Person Likes Cantor for VP [Cantor]

I like how all the pictures are almost wraith-like, probably because that's how the public views Cheney.  The faces are generally either grimacing or looking with apish surprise.

The best one is Smith's. Looks like he's wearing a cowl.

Sweet! An enemy of Big Labor is a friend of mine. Here's to hoping McCain picks his Smith dude, whoever he might be.

Physicist:

He's the founder of FedEx.  He gets invited to all of those prospective VP bbq's so there is speculation that if McCain chooses a businessman he'll be the choice.  He has a nice WASPy name that contrasts well against Obama's crazy foreign one.

No way in hell does Carly get selected, her record is just awful.  Meg Whitman and Fred Smith are the only two real CEO possibilities.

If there is anyone within the campaign that seriously thinks Fiorina should be chosen they should be fired immediately. It's bad enough that she's an "economic advisor."

Yeah, standard "OMG HE'S BUSH!" attack lines aside, Fred Smith doesn't seem that bad.

The main Democratic claim is "He's like Bush."  That won't cut it.

The following article outlines similar lines of attack on Obama's prospective running mates, which essentially boil down to two key themes: "lol inexperienced" and "lol Washington insider".

Well, those are the obvious things, it's not like anyone didn't know that line of attack.  I'm sure, once Bayh is chosen, they'll point out his vote on Iraq as a contradiction too.  The DNC is giving specific actions in the VP's biography that they plan on highlighting and showing their oppo research early.  This is puzzling because it's not like anyone will read the site.

They should just have had those talking points prepared and email them to every media pundit possible the moment McCain announces his VP (or strong speculation occurs that he'll announce a specific VP - in order to dampen the public's perception of that guy and McCain's judgment for considering him).

Well, since Michelle Obama is campaigning for her husband, maybe the DNC should stick pictures of her up:

Well, Bush is a Republican, so it's obvious that most Republicans would've voted along the lines with him. The McSame argument really doesn't seem to be working with McCain, which is why the Republicans were brilliant to nominate him.

According to the Democrats, the only Republican that McCain could've chosen who wasn't Bush was Lincoln Chaffee, but then they'd say he was Bush because he was a Repubican.

Well.. I have to say that while I don't think Pawlenty would break the law to win... he is definitely a master of the gimmick.

"Hey!  We'll make the budget forecast look better by absolutely refusing and threatening to veto any budget appropriations that factor in inflation!"
