Pretty much anything so long as you do not inherently put others at risk by taking it (e.g. PCP).

I would be fine with legalizing anything except the most dangerous drugs. So things like heroin, meth, & tobacco should be illegal.

That you put tabacco on the same level as heroin and meth is rather strange.

I wouldn't put it at quite the same level, though I don't like it being legal all the same. After all, not only does it destroy your life (by causing lung cancer or heart attacks), but it also destroys the lives of others (secondhand smoke is a carcinogen).

Thing is, the question doesn't ask about punishments or anything like that. It just asks whether they should be legal or illegal. I wouldn't put marijuana & cocaine on the same level, but I think they should be legal all the same.

Salvia, currently legal, should remain so, as banning it would alert people to its existence.

The others should maintain their current legal status.  I'd be willing to allow the states some latitude, though.

LOL

I believe Alcohol,Tobacco,Marijuana and most hallucinagens should be legal( only when done in proper setting). I really would not care if cocaine, heroin and amphetamines remained illegal. Ecstacy I am not too sure about.

I can't find any reason why any of these drugs should be illegal.  People you say otherwise obviously live in a fantasyland where making drugs illegal actually stops their consumption.

the production of methamphetamine can be extremely dangerous for the entire surrounding area due to the gases eminated from cooking meth.

So, by that logic, you also support abortion rights?

I chose alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana.. these are the only three I'd want to be legal.

There are several others that could be largely decriminalized, but with harsh penalties for any crimes committed in conjunction with those drugs.

Certain highly addictive drugs like crack-cocaine and amphetamines should be illegal.

Taking an all or nothing approach to drugs is really stupid and shows that you don't have much knowledge of those drugs and how they affect not only the user, but those around them.

No, making abortion illegal would signifigantly cut down on the number of abortions given the difficulty of obtaining and risk of obtaining one.  There is no difficulty or risk in obtaining drugs for personal use.

To play devil's advocate, I don't see how that couldn't be solved by zoning laws like anything else.

IMO meth should be illegal to sell for non medicinal purposes but use should be decriminalized.

Right, who cares about the thousands of women who would die as a result. Their own fault right?

Alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana should be completely legal, and taxed and regulated.

Anything harder than that should be illegal to sell but not to buy or possess, perhaps with some exceptions here and there (I'm not enough of an expert on each individual one to say for sure). The availability of drug rehab programs should be greatly expanded.

The best way to solve the drug problem is to make drugs unnecessary by improving the economy and general standard of living; unfortunately many of the drug war's fiercest advocates oppose the very measures that would do this the best.

Why is committing a crime on a drug worse than committing a crime sober?  Is this the same logic that gives us Hate Crime laws?
