I assume you understand that in the US, Canada, and Australia the term means something entirely unrelated to what you think it means.  I think it is a little difficult for most posters here to say, "I'd like to eat some f****ts" with a straight face. 

Ah, for what it's worth, my wife often makes fish balls.  And we eat them.  And they're delicious.  I still think it's so weird to say, "I had fish balls last night."

Yeah, the f****ts look tasty.  Are they beef?  offal and such?  I'll vote "other" (as in, mmmm, mmmm, good.)

It's certainly possible that I understand that. Of course another sort of f****t is thrown on fires. A sort of bundle of wood.

yeah, we get those sorts of things here too.  Well, in Asian supermarkets.  We just went to a big one in Saint Paul on Saturday.  Bought several types of meat balls.  Some were of ground fish and cornmeal, some were from ground beef and gluten, but some of them were just as you describe:  pig off-cuts.  They are tasty.  We stir-fry them in oil with green onions, sliced mushrooms, bracket fungi, and sometimes bamboo shoots.  And, of course, the obligatory heapin' helpin' of salt.  I like to wash mine down with a gritty, room-temperature Languedoc Roussillon.  My wife prefers water.  And soy milk for the boy.  

f****ts all around.  (You'll understand if I don't teach him to call them f****ts.

Called Fagott in German too (stress on second syllable).

I have read an anecdote of a German classical musician, new to an international orchestra, trying to pronounce that more english-like in the hopes that it was the same name in both language (and not knowing what f****t means) and thus greeting the bassoon player "Oh, so you're the fagott!"

It's also on the second syllable in Italian, which I think is the word origin (after all, most musical language derives from Italian).
