This one takes the cake:

And Phil lists all the negatives that make it impossible (though I don't blame him).

How on earth did you find that?!  Seriously, spend some time outside, reading, socializing, ANYTHING.

I hate to defend Xahar, but clicking "search" and typing in Obama does not take more than a few seconds.

^ Eh, maybe.

I just did a quick search, here's a gem:

President John Edwards
Vice-President Barack Obama

HAHAHAHAHA

Another good one:

I have heard good things about Obama Baraka...

This one is pretty good, considering it was January 2005:

TOO EARLY FOR REPUBLICANS TO fret about 2008? Never! Before last week's inaugural fireworks had even been lit, the handicapping of 2008 Republican hopefuls was well underway. GOP sources slice the potential '08ers into an A-list and a B-list. Here's a quick roundup of who's where, as President Bush kicks off Act Two.

First the A-listers:
* John McCain.
* Rudy Giuliani.
* Bill Frist.
* Mitt Romney.
....etc.
http://weeklystandard.com/Utilities/printer_preview.asp?idArticle=5168&R=C3CF34683

Of course, Phil's response was a bit far off the mark:

McCain, Giuliani and Romney are on the "A" list and Santorum isn't even making it on either lists?

Let's face reality, folks. Neither McCain, Giuliani nor Romney will be candidates for President in 2008 and if they are, they won't get far!

Hmmmm.....I should go add that to the "most retrospectively amusing comments on the GOP primary race thread".

Good for Flyers. However, again, almost everyone would have agreed with me (and probably did) at the time.

The thread was on the very last page of this board. It didn't exactly take very long.
