Well I can't speak for Andrew on this, but part of why I love gymnasts is their height (or lack thereof. There's just something about short guys that's adorable...having said that, I'm only 5'6" mself so that's probably part of it

The birth rate continues to stagnate or fall.. the fertility rate has increased somewhat, but because the generation of new mothers is much smaller than the cohort of new moms even 10 years ago, the number of births continues to fall.  Today there are twice as many 40 year olds as there are 1 year olds in Italy.  By 2050, the average Italian will be 57 years old.. while the average American will be in their late 30s.
