I doubt he'll have an effect, unless Paul comes out and endorses him and campaigns like crap for him.

If Bob Barr gets 50 million votes, not a single one of them will have been taken away from John McCain; they aren't McCain's to begin with.

John McCain isn't entitled to anyone's vote, and it isn't Bob Barr's job to help McCain get elected.
