This election is held in accordance with Article V of the Constitution and with the Consolidated Electoral System Reform Act.  The regular election begins at 12:00 P.M. EDT, June 26th, and ends at 12:00 P.M. EDT, June 29th.

You may either vote in the General Election Voting Booth or in the Absentee Voting Booth. Absentee Voting is open now and will close at 12:00 P.M. EDT, June 26th. Voting in both will renders both of your votes invalid.

DO NOT EDIT OR DELETE THE POST CONTAINING YOUR BALLOT IN ANY WAY AFTER 20 MINUTES OF ITS BEING POSTED OR YOUR VOTE WILL BE INVALIDATED

The act of campaigning within the election booth is strictly forbidden and will render void any votes made by those who campaign.  The act of campaigning is considered to include, but is not limited to, strong attempts to compel others either to vote or not to vote for one or multiple candidates, or other related activities that could reasonably be construed as a direct attempt to influence how future voters cast their ballots.

However, the Department of Forum Affairs will make every effort to be fair in consideration of the above matter and will give voters the benefit of the doubt.  Explanations of one's vote or simple expressions of approval for a candidate will not be construed as acts of campaigning, unless they obviously violate the above criteria.

Place a mark in the space provided beside the candidate who you wish to vote for.  You are an eligible voter in general if you were registered to vote on or before June 16, 2008 in the Pacific or Southeast, and if you made 15 posts in any location within the Atlas Forum in the 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the regular election.  You are only entitled to vote for a Senator in the Region you are registered in.

Unlike in regular elections, you are NOT allowed to write-in candidates or vote for "None of the Above" in a runoff election. Doing so will render your ballot invalid.

For your convenience, here is a map of the regions, to aid you in the question of which region you reside in:

Puerto Rico is in the Southeast.

Didn't we establish that Torie actually won his election outright because some of the votes for Friz were after the deadline?

The "questionable" Friz votes would be those cast between Thursday at 5PM and Friday at 12:00:01 AM.  It is the opinion of Lewis, myself, and apparently Inks that such votes should count in any scenario, either as legit votes or "absentee" ballots.

I started the general ballot at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, which is perfectly legal.

The Supreme Court has decided to place an injunction to hault this election.  I will not lock this thread, but I wanted to notify everybody.  Consider this a formal notification.

The Pacific Election runoff has not been put on hold actually by the Court. So your notification in my opinion is only half right. There was no motion to enjoin proceeding with the Pacific Senatorial Election runoff, much less a granting of any such non existent motion, or by the Court's own motion. So I would appreciate your making that clarification, or I will have to ask the Court to so clarify. Thank you.

But not here.

The absentee balloting for the Pacific is now closed.  Official SE booth to open shortly.

Correction.  Absentee balloting here for the Pacific should probably go on until 12:00:01 AM EDT Friday as to eliminate any confusion that arose in the GE booth as to when "midnight" is.

Sorry, SE was supposed to refer to "special election," not the Southeast, though I realize now the potential for confusion.

Will the previously cast votes in the Southeast election remain valid if the court rules in favor of the runoff?

Who knows? An injunction stops matters in their place, rather than undoing anything, so unless there is a reason to start anew, one would think a mere unfreezing would occur, and matters would proceed from the time of the issuance of the injunction. I am sure the Court will advise one way or the other, if the Court rules against Spade in his action.
