And that's why I've been wanting a NM poll.

(Of course, it'll be significantly closer than that...)

So what's the point of wanting a poll if you're just going to assume the final result will be within the MOE of any poll?

Good to see, although it's probably off.

I think it'll be a little tighter than this, but I think it's pretty accurate as to where the state is right now.

That's a much higher margin than expected.

I thought this state would be good for McCain, but unless he makes some inroads among Hispanics, he'll have a very difficult time winning New Mexico.

True...but Obama's up what on McCain nationally?

I'd, barring some sort of McCain dysfunction or collapse, expect the national margin to close by september and the margin here along with it.

But Obama is still the odds on winner in NM.

Er... this margin makes perfect sense. If Obama is currently ahead by about 5 points, and NM is a little more Democratic than the national average, 8% makes sense.

Obama actually is -1 from Rassy's last poll.  This is a state that Scott disagrees with SUSA on.

It's New Mexico - just toss some numbers in the random generator and you're probably more likely to get the correct result.

get a new avatar, or stop posting about polls. It's damn confusing.

I really don't make posts like that.  Besides, the correct answer is more like 4 points.  Tongue
