Governor's Divorce Worries Nevada Republicans

Does anyone else think Gibbons is for the chop in 2010?  I would have thought that Dina Titus would have defeated him in a rematch of 2006, but now she's running for NV-3 then it will probably not be her.  So who, Oscar Goodman?

Does anyone think Republicans would skip a presidential election because their governor is an embarrassment? I'm skeptical.

If the adulterer Governor runs for reelection, he'll likely lose. If Democrats don't take back in the State Senate in 2008, they likely will in 2010, especially if Gibbons runs again.  This creates a nightmare situation for the GOP, because the Democrats  would control the Governorship, the State Senate, and the State House. With those majorities, they'll be able to push through a redistricting plan that could yield three Democratic House seats.
