Good news. I don't think McCain will waste time and money in New Jersey. It's not worth his time given the uphill battle he faces. I suppose he could spend money here, but I'd advise him not too.

No, he should spend money in NJ. We should hope he spends a lot. Smiley

This is probably the margin Obama wins by.

He's spending money in the Philly media market which covers South Jersey so it's not really a waste.

Or close to it. I'll say 11 points just because the undecideds always break to the Democrat here. Although that might not be true with such low Republican numbers to begin with.

Well, to counter argue, if Obama is up 6% in the latest national poll, NJ is only DEM +3. By some of your arguments for SC and others, if McCain wins by 3% nationally, NJ could flip....

Just saying ..

He'd break the bank in NJ if I was in charge. Wink

I don't think an 8 point win nationally for Obama would translate into a 9 point NJ win but whatever...

a vast majority of the undecideds would/will break Obama.  NJ Dems always have cold feet during the summer.  such is life, bro.

I'm not sure if that's the case this time.  This poll seems to have been run concurrently with the poll showing Zimmer behind Lautenberg by 1.

I'm guessing that New Jersey Democrats are solidly behind Obama, but not solidly behind Lautenberg (yet).  I wouldn't expect Obama's numbers to swell in New Jersey too far beyond what they already are here.

Of course, since we can only see the toplines, who knows for sure.........

The Presidential race will be 55-43 Obama.

The Senate race will be 54-44 Lautenberg.
