Try to think back to Election Day 2004, if possible, and think of every state you've been to at least once (either flown into or driven through or visited, etc.) and add up the Electoral Votes of each state and post here.  You can only count a state once.  You can also include the states you plan to visit between now and Monday night, November 3, 2008 at 11:59 pm EST.

For an extra kick (optional), divide those states into red/blue states based on the 2004 Bush/Kerry map.

As for me,

I've been to Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, Alabama

So, adding those up:  Oklahoma (7) + Kansas (6) + Missouri (11) + Texas (34) + Louisiana (9) + Georgia (15) + Florida (27) + Pennsylvania (21) + New Jersey (15) + New York (31) + Massachusetts (12) + New Hampshire (4) + Michigan (17) + Illinois (21) + Indiana (11) + Mississippi (6) + Alabama (9)

That is 256 electoral votes combined.  135 Republican, 121 Democratic.

319 EVs, of which 231 Dem (all Kerry states but WI, OR, and HI), and 88 R.

MT/WY/MN are to be visited this summer, and NV & MN are airport only.

I think that makes me the first with over 270...living in the Northeast + Quizbowl Tourneys + Grad School visits help.

I may drive to DC over the summer though, in which case the map would add Arkansas and Tennessee.

Too lazy to make a map, but, since the 2004 election, I've been to NY, PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, WV, NC, OH, IN, IL, WI, MN, ND, MT, ID, WA, CA, CO, and TX.  Oh, and if we're even counting airport layovers, add FL, AZ, NV, and UT.  And I've been to DC.

If you add up all those electoral votes, you'd get 354 electoral votes (Dems 199; GOP 155).  Do I win?

Oh, and in that time, I've also been to Puerto Rico (that explains the airport layover in Florida), as well as British Columbia and the UK.  Though none of those have electoral votes.

Family vacations and business trips...

In fact, the map below shows the states I have ever visited.  Not that many more!...

Kinda sad really.  The farthest west I have ever been is either Silver Lake, Illinois or New Orleans...not sure which is farther west.  But at least I have been to Canada and The Dominican Republic.  I would really like to visit New England some day.

Man it is amazing what questions fertile young minds can come up with!  And I am supposed to remember what states I have been to in the last 4 years, and which one's not?  Please!

The states of confusion and inebriation do not count.

But you live in CANADA. CANADIANS always cross the border, because of the sheer unfulfillingess of CANADA!
