I think it will be Wyoming.

West Virginia will have a much bigger republican swing, but the actual numbers won't be THAT high.

WV: Obama has done well in the mountain west but will get mauled in Appalachia. I expect something like this:

Wyoming:
McCain 57%
Obama 39%
Barr 2%
Others 2%

West Virginia:
McCain 65%
Obama 33%
Others 2%

West Virginia. C'mon let's face it guys WV is basically the parody of what dems claim GOP voting areas are like. I'll be shocked if Obama gets higher than 45% there.

West Virginia.

The last Wyoming poll had Obama down by 13%. I think it is possible for him to break 40% there. As for West Virginia....not so much.

It's very hard for a Dem to do worse than Kerry in West Virginia, and there's probably some primary hatred left over.  I'll say Wyoming for now.

I'm expecting something like this:

Wyoming:
McCain 59
Obama 37
Other 4 (Mostly Barr...Mountain West has long tradition of large third party votes)

West Virginia

McCain 57
Obama 41
Other 2

I don't think there'll be much of a difference between the two, actually.

Obama will get pretty demolished in West Virginia, yes. Then again, so was Kerry. And Wyoming is very, very Republican. So I still say Wyoming.

West VA, there will be so many Hillary protests votes there, that it won't be even funny.

I would have to say West Virginia... this could all change in six months if Obama does a charm tour of WV with Hillary, has the UMWA take him on a tour of a local coal-mine and makes a speech about government investment into clean coal with a group of industry leaders.

Appearing at a VFW hall or two wouldn't hurt either.

Wyoming is not particularly McCain country either, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Barr pick up 1-2% of the vote from Libertarian minded voters. I suspect Obama will do better than most Democratic presidential candidates have in decades in the Southern belt of Wyoming. This is not a monolithically Republican region of the state, and Democrats frequently win statewide elections from this belt. Obama should over-perform in this region which elects change Democrats on a frequent basis.

Well I think Mason-Dixon just cleared up the answer to this unbelievably idiotic and retarded question. Not that I'd expect any better from WalterMitty.

John McCain will get more votes in West Virginia than he will in Wyoming.

Only because it's a bigger state... Obama will do better in WV. The race there is still tight and he might spend some time there depending on the situation elsewhere. There's no way he's spending any time in Wyoming. Plus, WY has only gone Democratic once in the past fifty-six years, and that was in the LBJ landslide. WV has gone Democratic a number of times since then.
