This is, by definition, not an abortion -- don't suggest that it is.  It is infanticide.

No, it should not be legal.

No, I don't think that people should be allowed to murder children. This isn't 19th century London! (and it wasn't legal then, obviously. Just very common).

Only if the meat is sold to the wealthy as a delicacy so as to increase the economic fortunes of the lower classes.

But how much of that was intentional?

Suppose the woman, like most poor women then, gave her baby gin to pacify it: The effective dose is 85% of the lethal dose.

Kinda related to the topic....

The Michigan House voted to ban Partial-Birth Abortions by like a 75-35 margin. This makes me extremely proud of Andy Dillon, our Speaker of the House, and his fellow Democrats in this Democratic controlled House.

Unfortunately Granholm is expected to Veto. Should be able to override, though.

Unfortunately our legislators think this is a more important issue than the economic mess we're in. I'm not proud that they would waste time on trying to throw a dozen or so people in jail a year rather than tackle the economic issues facing 10 million Michiganians.

Especially when solving said economic problems would be a far better way to reduce the number of abortions in Michigan than passing laws like this could ever dream of.

As for the poll question, clearly "post birth abortion" is the murder of a child.

Now he's a social darwinist.

No, obviously, and we shouldn't be performing late-term abortions either.

Given how strongly pro-life I am, I'd never consider voting for such a thing.

Neat!! I never would have expected that from Michigan. Very good news. Smiley

I agree. Whether or not we agree on abortion, we might agree on the fact that killing a baby that was given birth is murder. I'm personally moderate pro-choice on abortion (against it but strongly favor responsible reproductive rights for the women).
