New Delegate Count:  CNN Estimate as of 8:00 pm CDT

Barack Obama:  12 from Kentucky.  1,625 pledged and 305 supers for a total of 1,930, which is 96 away from 2,026 (or 280 from 2,210).

Hillary Clinton:   34 from Kentucky.   1,476 pledged and 277 supers for a total of 1,753, which is 273 away from 2,026 and 457 away from 2,210 and 177 delegates shy of Barack Obama's current total.

There are 5 more pledged delegates left to be allocated in Kentucky.

And, you forgot FL/MI.  Clinton will try to seat them and she probably has a good chance of succeeding.

No, I didn't forget them.  Look at the bolded information.

Nevermind what I said earlier. My 65% to 29% prediction seemed to be pretty accurate.

Wouldn't that be a riot if he thanked Kentucky for putting him over the top?

Just another state that will embrace more of the failed same in November, Kentucky will be

Dave

I see what you're saying, and I agree for the most part.

However, maybe Kentucky and other red states, such as Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas, Arizona, Tennessee, etc. think Bush hasn't done an extremely bad job or that McCain will be a different Republican. Whatever the reason, I don't think we are in a position to diss any state or any voter for voting the way or the amount they do.  Some people think Bush was a great president, and we can't fault those people for any kind of lack of knowledge, or ignorance, or idiocy, as its just their opinion.  We don't have to agree with them, but we should respect it.

I only wish the GOP had had the good sense to nominate McCain in 2000 but given there isn't a gnat's chuff of difference between him and Bush, now that the old man has flip-flopped himself towards the reactionary base of his party, I've no confidence in McCain whatsoever

Lincoln Chafee tonight on Your World with Neil Cavuto seemed very much saddened that the John McCain he knew is not the John McCain of now

Only Henderson County (Indiana border near Evansville) and Calloway County (Tennessee Border northwest of Nashville) are yet to start reporting.

I understand what you're saying, but, as a former Republican with continuing Republican traits (socially), I am quite fond of conservatism and thats what Bush and McCain are.  In fact, socially, I like conservatism more than liberalism.  Its economically that I like liberalism more than conservatism.

All we need now is Calloway County to give us its numbers.

+2 precincts in Floyd and 7 in Jefferson, of course, but ~76% of the outstanding vote is in Calloway County.

Obama seems to have gotten his customary 23% of the white vote in the Arkansas, Tennessee, West Va, kentucky border state coridor.  Well. I see he's consistant anyway.

I see Survey USA posted a NC GE poll tonight:

McCain   51
Obama   43

McCain   43
Hillary    49

Have I thanked the Dems tonight for putting Obama over the top?  Thank you again.  Don't forget.  i helped with my Obama vote in Texas.  Always want to do my part.

That will only happen if Obama otherwise has the nomination wrapped up, so that it is moot.

Four more precincts in Jefferson County out.  It just rounds to 100%.  Smiley

The only good news for Obama out of KY is that it isn't as bad as WV.

Why is Obama still pandering to people by continuing to wear the flag pin?
