The idea that Edwards ever had significant working-class support was essentially a myth.

Yep. He always was more a candidate of rural whites.
I think you could change that to Rural Southern Whites, even though he had good performances in almost all rural areas.

Hillary's final victory rally... unless she has one in PR.

I don't know how some can state Obama supporters are in a fantasy land while watching the delusional speeches from Clinton following the WV speech and the one tonight.

She's sure got some interesting characters behind her on stage tonight...

The gay dude is pretty amusing.  So is the ugly blonde screaming her head off.

hahahaha

That's exactly what I was thinking but you said it, not me...

So wait, hang on... which county is Kennedy's tumor winning, again, and why does Hillary want to avoid it?  *For those of you watching CNN*

Um... I think its in Suffolk Co, Massachusetts.  Looks like we'll get back to Kentucky here after the break.

Sorry if what I said seemed in poor taste, but I think the fact that they were reporting on the tumor with graphs and highlighting areas "we want to avoid" was somewhat satirical... or farcical... I really can't tell... I'm not sure if the comedy is the result of them taking something serious and making it practically a joke, or whether it is because they took something and made their reporting of it seem very serious.  Eitherway, it was in poor taste... or at least just plain bizarre.

That's fine.  I'm glad you apologized and, at least in my mind, it is accepted.

Taking a quick look at some of the almost completed (or not almost completed) counties in CD-05, I really don't think he's going to reach viability there.

I rechecked the numbers here, he's well under viability out there.  He'll be lucky to break 15% in a couple of counties, much less the CD.

Chris, that's total rubbish. It was in excellent taste.

It's good taste to hang up Kennedy's diagnosis and treat it like election returns, highlighting how "we want to avoid this area here," and, "well, Kennedy is going to want a non-surgical treatment it the tumor is here, because that's the speech and motor skill center of the brain... and for a man so dependent on those things..." well, are you suggesting that other people need to be able to walk and talk less than Kennedy?  I didn't quite understand what he was going for there, other than to put in some filler while the plugged an advertisement for their "GE technology" which they said about four times.  It was very strange, very crass, and just bad in general.

And my comment was, in know way meant to be a joke about Kennedy, I wouldn't do that.  I was mocking the coverage.

As a Republican I'm less worried about that than I am about the fact that McCain only slightly out performed Hillary in spite of having the thing locked up.

I see what you're saying, and I agree for the most part.

However, maybe Kentucky and other red states, such as Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas, Arizona, Tennessee, etc. think Bush hasn't done an extremely bad job or that McCain will be a different Republican. Whatever the reason, I don't think we are in a position to diss any state or any voter for voting the way or the amount they do.  Some people think Bush was a great president, and we can't fault those people for any kind of lack of knowledge, or ignorance, or idiocy, as its just their opinion.  We don't have to agree with them, but we should respect it.

The Kentucky SoS page is quite decent, much better than their lazy neighbors in WV.

And, you forgot FL/MI.  Clinton will try to seat them and she probably has a good chance of succeeding.

I think I heard Suzanne Malveaux say that Obama plans on speaking around 10:00 pm Eastern, 9:00 pm Central in Des Moines, Iowa, which is about an hour from now and an hour before the Oregon results are released.
