I don't know much of Arizona State University's past form; but this fits broadly in with the findings from other polls conducted in western and southwestern states that Obama tends to run stronger than Clinton against McCain

There are a number of garbage firms/unis in AZ.  ASU is one of the chief members.

Seriously though are all uni polls garbage?

Indiana State University's polling of the 2006 IN-08 race was mocked, IIRC, because it showed Ellsworth, relative to other non-partisan pollsters, 'crushing' Hostettler (47% - 32%; 55% - 32%) and he did 61% to 39% Smiley
