How would the 1984 Presidential Election turn out if these were the tickets?

Republican

President Ronald Reagan of California
Vice President George H.W. Bush of Texas

Democratic

Senator Lloyd Bentsen of Texas
Governor Bob Graham of Florida

Discuss with Maps.

Close, but I don't think Bensten loses in Texas as the Presidential Candidate.  It would be less of a blowout than Mondale.

I think Bensten might've been able to do well against Bush in 88, though.

Ronald W. Reagan/George H.W. Bush (R): 343 EV, 53% of the PV
Lloyd M. Bentsen/D. Robert Graham (D): 195 EV, 46% of the PV
Others (Libertarians, Socialists, ect): 0 EV, 1% of the PV

Similar to my 1984: Bumpers v. Reagan Electoral Map, Texas Senator Lloyd Bentsen performs much better than Walter Mondale in RL 1984. The only differences between the Bumpers and Bentsen maps against Reagan is that, I see Bentsen picking up Texas and Louisiana.

Bentsen is able to pull off a fluke in a few states including a razor-thin margin of less than 1% in TX and OH:
